Hadas Ben Aroya was born in 1988 in Israel. She graduated from the Steve Tisch School of Film at Tel Aviv University. She wrote and directed a short film called Sex Doll (2013) and won the Gold Panda at the Tel Aviv international student film festival. People That Are Not Me (2016) is her first feature.
