Motivated, talented and career-driven, Christine is doing what she loves most. But with a promotion in line, she finds her serious work ethics clash with the new game of sensationalizing the news and exploiting stories for ratings. To achieve her goals, she has to take it to the extremes. As was evident in his previous features Afterschool and Simon Killer (both familiar to !f audiences), director Antonio Campos is a master of translating a damaged psyche into film. This latest effort elevates his style to the next level: bathed in dread and peppered with sharp humor, Christine is a hypnotic and arresting portrayal of a woman at a crossroads. Accompanied by Michael C. Hall of Dexter, Rebecca Hall steps up her game with an outstanding performance.

Born in 1983 in New York, Antonio Campos lied about his age to enter the New York Academy as a 13-year-old. His short Buy it Now (2005) was selected to world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, where he won The Cinefoundation Prize. In 2008, he made Afterschool (!f 2009), which earned him a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature, and scored another success with Simon Killer (2012, !f 2013).
