"I also love to hear stories about people who went home to the person they love and hugged them, because you never know when it's too late." Hannes Holm ( Director)

SUMMARY

This engaging and touching gem is competing in the best foreign language films category at the Oscars!

Ove is the angry old man next-door. Several years ago he was toppled as the building's superintendent; but he doesn't seem to accept that, and continues to make his neighbors' lives hell. When pregnant Parvaneh moves in with her family to the terraced house opposite Ove, and accidentally flattens Ove's mailbox with her car, an unexpected friendship is born. Adapted from Frederick Backman's Swedish bestselling novel (he co-wrote the screenplay with director Hannes Holm), A Man Called Ove is a humble and humorous story with a warm heart; the kind that will leave you with a smile and long-lasting memories. This appealing and touching film is among the foreign -language nominees at the Oscars!

*Prior to the gala of A Man Called Ove on Feb 22 at 9.30pm at Cinemaximum in Kanyon, Ford will present as part of "Ford Edge Special Screening" the short film Le Fantôme, directed by Jake Scott, starring Mads Mikkelsen, Barbara Steele and Zarco Radic.
