Franca Sozzani, who recently passed away, was the legendary editor-in-chief of Italian Vogue. Her often controversial covers could be magnificent or absurd. They broke the rules and set a very high bar for fashion, art and commerce in the last quarter-century. Juggling with issues of race, gender and body politics, Sozzani remained deeply committed to exploring subject matters that were-off limits to most, to redefine the concept of beauty and break with convention. Featuring interviews with Karl Lagerfeld, Bruce Weber, Baz Luhrmann, Courtney Love and many others, Francesco Carrozzini paints an extremely intimate portrait of his mother. He has directed several videos, including Beyoncé's Jealous (2013), Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence (2014), and Lenny Kravitz's New York City (2014).
