"People want to dream. They want to take a journey, a trip in their imagination, and that's not simply about buying a dress." Franca Sozzani ( From the film)

SUMMARY

Francesco Carrozzini delivers an intimate portrait of his mother and a candid look at one of the most influential names in fashion.

Franca Sozzani, who recently passed away, was the legendary editor-in-chief of Italian Vogue. Her often controversial covers could be magnificent or absurd. They broke the rules and set a very high bar for fashion, art and commerce in the last quarter-century. Juggling with issues of race, gender and body politics, Sozzani remained deeply committed to exploring subject matters that were-off limits to most, to redefine the concept of beauty and break with convention. Featuring interviews with Karl Lagerfeld, Bruce Weber, Baz Luhrmann, Courtney Love and many others, Francesco Carrozzini paints an extremely intimate portrait of his mother. Franca: Chaos&Creation gives us a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her creative process as well as her vulnerabilities.
