"I don't like it here, it's boring." ( From the film)

SUMMARY

What happens when a 13 year old American boy moves to Germany all of a sudden?

Morris and his single dad are the only Americans in Heidelberg, Germany. Being 13 is already a struggle, and how about being the only black teenager in suburban Germany who doesn't speak German? Despite his eagerness to learn German and to make friends, Morris is often bullied and confronted with racist mockery. Stuck in the boundaries of language and racist alienation, Morris turns to rap, singing profane songs and creating a circle of like-minded friends who indulge in drugs and alcohol. Winner of two prizes from Sundance, Morris from America is a captivating and hilarious adventure, and also a witty critique of unspoken racism among young Germans.
