A black latex coat becomes a vehicle for bringing out the fetishistic side of ordinary lives. Questioning the relation of submission and dominance, the film redefines a beauty salon, butchers’ shop, metal workshop and domestic streets as personal spaces of the real-life characters. Through them, it shows the obsessive, painful, pleasant, filthy and beautiful aspects of the everyday life.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Merve Tuna (1984, Eskişehir) lives in İstanbul. Her works have been exhibited in Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden and Turkey, and notably at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Her work focuses on the distance between the ordinary and the anomalous, drawing inspiration from individual psychology, cinema and crafts. Developing narratives reflecting these interrelations, she produces objects, garments and films. Her key films include A Belly Dance.

Sezen Kayhan (Ankara, 1986) lives in Istanbul. She studied Archeology and History of Art at Bilkent University. She worked on several documentaries and film projects in Turkey, Italy and the USA. Her first short film Time of the Plums (2012) was screened at over seventy film festivals including Tribeca, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara and Montreal.
