This is a film about therapy. More precisely, it's about a troubled relationship between a mother and daughter. We follow them from their first session with talented psychotherapist Bogdan de Barbaro in raw close-ups as their accusations, grief and anger slowly transform. Director Marcel Lozinski was motivated by the experience of making a personal documentary about his own dispute with his father, with whom he didn't speak for three years. This time, Lozinski moves from problems to solutions. He explores how deep family conflicts can be resolved. Therapy can help, he suggests, to create vital shifts, no matter how tiny they may seem. Although the film is set in one room, its journey into the depths of two women's innermost emotions, skillfully guided by de Barbaro, makes every moment feel spacious and intriguing. Many will find that this courageous film will strike a chord.

Pawel Lozinski was born in 1965, in Warsaw. He studied directing at the Film School in Lodz. He is the auteur of more than 20 award-winning documentary films, including Sisters (1999), Taka Historia (1999), Chemo (2009), and Father and Son (2013).
