"Oasis was like a Ferrari. Great to look at, great to drive, and it would spin out of control every now and again." (From the Film)

SUMMARY

The wild, hilarious and talented Gallagher brothers tell the remarkable story of how Oasis became one of the greatest rock bands of all times.

Oasis: Supersonic tells the remarkable story of Oasis in the iconic band's own words. Featuring extensive unseen footage, the film charts a meteoric rise from the council estates of Manchester to some of the biggest concerts of all times -- in just three short years. From the start, the band makes no pretense about its ambitions - Noel Gallagher is heard saying, "and that's why we'll be the best band in the world." The film's thrill comes not just from the music but also from the wit of the Gallagher brothers, whose commentary overlays the archive clips and behind-the-scenes footage. Naturally the intense, sometimes violent relationship between them often takes centre-stage. Produced by Asaf Kapadia – of Amy fame - and directed by Mat Whitecross, this energetic, raw and moving film shines a light on one of the most genre- and generation-defining British bands there has ever been.
