Healer and shamanic practitioner Elif Özkoç and storyteller Pelin Turgut join forces to guide this special journey through a fairy tale. We may venture into forests, meet the animals who live there, soar with eagles, sit with wise women and men, fly to the stars, and more. Our intention is to find lost pieces of our hearts, creating more strength and wholeness. Healing sounds, crystal bowls, drums and rattles will accompany us. Together, we will learn to listen to our hearts’ guidance.

Elif studied Art at Istanbul’s Mimar Sinan University. Her path as a healer began in 2002 in New York when she received Reiki attunement. She is a graduate of George Kamana Hunter’s Blue Stone Healing Arts Institute. Since 2008, she has spent part of the year in South America, in the Amazon and Andes, learning from different shamans about rituals, fasts and vision quests. She studied with shamanic practitioner Patricia White Buffalo in France and is an assistant teacher in her program. Elif’s own self-development path includes gestalt, core energetics, cranio-sacral, art therapy, hypnotherapy, sound therapy and Vipassana meditation retreats. She has distilled years of experience and study to create a sacred healing space, which she shares in the form of individual sessions, group healing circles, ceremonies and trainings.

A love of stories is at the heart of Pelin’s work. She was a correspondent for publications such as TIME magazine and The Independent. She is also co-founder of !f Istanbul, which unites audiences around stories on screen. Her interestV in the shared and archaic threads of our stories led her to study systemic constellation with Svagito Liebermeister and Systemic Ritual with Daan van Kampenhout. She translated Van Kampenhout’s book Tears of the Ancestors into Turkish. Her own practice has been enriched by many years studying movement, somatic and sound therapies, meditation, and shamanic ritual and ceremony. She leads group events at The International School of Storytelling in the UK, as well as The School of Life and other retreats.
