The third annual collaboration between !f Istanbul and the production-focused YAPIMLAB is designed for short filmmakers (and short film fans). Yapımlab @ !f features a theme that changes each year. It started out by inviting short films based on strong female stories, inspired by the famous Bechdel test. In its second year, it welcomed ten projects based on themes around children, their living environments and their rights. This year the theme is: “What is youth?” Projects based around this concept are invited to apply to YAPIMLAB for consideration. Ten projects will be selected to take part in the Yapımlab @ !f workshop, which will last a day and will also be open to viewers. The main jury at this workshop will evaluate the projects on the basis of their presentation and creative production, and one of the finalists will be awarded a 5.000TL YAPIMLAB award. The other nine projects will be tracked by YAPIMLAB during their production.
